Contest Theme

    The resume building contest aims to enhance the career development skills of college students by providing them with an opportunity to create professional and compelling resumes. It encourages students to showcase their achievements, skills, and experiences in a structured and impactful manner.

Contest Guidelines

  • Resume Format: Participants are required to create a professional resume following a standard format. The resume should include sections such as Contact Information, Objective/Summary, Education, Work Experience (if applicable), Skills, Projects (if applicable), and any additional relevant sections.
  • Content: Resumes should highlight academic achievements, internships, relevant work experience, extracurricular activities, certifications, technical skills, soft skills, and any other credentials that demonstrate the participants qualifications and capabilities.
  • Design and Layout: While the focus is on content, participants can also showcase their design skills by creating a visually appealing and well-organized resume layout. Use of appropriate fonts, colors, spacing, and alignment is encouraged.
  • Customization: Resumes should be tailored to fit a specific job role or career path. Participants can customize their resumes based on the industry, job description, or target audience to demonstrate their understanding of effective resume customization.
  • Language and Clarity: Resumes should be written in clear and concise language, avoiding jargon and grammatical errors. The content should effectively communicate the participants qualifications and career aspirations.
  • Submission: Participants must submit their resumes in PDF format, ensuring that all sections are included and the document is properly formatted for readability and printing.
  • Upon applying for any contest, the coins deducted from your account are non-refundable, regardless of participation.

Judging Criteria

  • Content Relevance: Alignment of resume content with the participants career goals, highlighting relevant skills, experiences, and achievements.
  • Clarity and Organization: Clear and concise presentation of information, well-structured sections, and logical flow of content within the resume.
  • Design and Visual Appeal: Visually appealing layout, appropriate use of fonts, colors, spacing, and overall aesthetic quality of the resume design.
  • Language and Grammar: Use of professional language, grammar accuracy, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Impactfulness: Overall impact of the resume in capturing the attention of recruiters, showcasing the participants strengths, and making a memorable impression.

Additional Notes

  • The contest is open to college students from all disciplines and academic backgrounds.
  • A panel of judges comprising HR professionals, recruiters, and career experts will evaluate the resumes based on the outlined criteria.
  • Prizes and recognition will be awarded to the winners, possibly with categories like Best Overall Resume, and Most Creative Design
